PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION PROGRAMME

VETA College is an approved training centre that provides professional certificates accredited by qualified bodies with prescribed standards in welding and automotive industry. This professional certificate assures your professional knowledge and competency.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

The minimum requirements for candidates to join the Professional Certification Programme are:

  1. Age of between 18 to 40 years old.
  2. Ability to communicate and write in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  3. Having a minimum of 3 years in chosen programme (welding or automotive)

WELDING PROGRAMME (Program Persijilan Professional Antarabangsa Llyod Register):

  1. Welder Qualification Test (WQT) 3G SMAW
  2. Welder Qualification Test (WQT) 6G SMAW
  3. Welder Qualification Test (WQT) 3G FCAW
  4. Welder Qualification Test (WQT) 6GC SMAW & GTAW
AUTOMOTIVE PROGRAMME

The details are as follows:

AUTOMOTIVE PROGRAMME:

  1. IMI International Level 1 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Awareness (INT-EHV1-A-23)
  2. IMI International Level 2 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Routine Maintenance Activities (INT-EHVRM2-A-23)
  3. INT L2 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Hazard Management for Emergency and Recovery Personnel (INT-EHVHM2-A)
  4. IMI International Level 3 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Repair and Replacement (INT-EHVSR3-A-23)

WELDING SECTOR CAREER

WELDER

Scope of Work: Repair metal products by heating with welding tools.


LECTURER


Estimated Income: RM2,800++


Scope of Work: Teaching and educating PT3/SPM graduates.


WELDING INSPECTOR


Estimated Income: RM6,500++


Scope of Work: Responsible for inspecting and evaluating the quality of work and the strength of welding work.


UNDERWATER WELDERS


Estimated Income: RM10,000++


Scope of Work: Repairing and welding under the sea.

Estimated Income: RM2,000++


Scope of Work: Repairing vehicles.


LECTURER


Estimated Income: RM3,000++


Scope of Work: Teaching and educating PT3/SPM graduates.


WARRANTY AND INSURANCE ADJUSTER


Estimated Income: RM3,000++


Scope of Work: Evaluate and settle insurance claims for insurance companies.


SERVICE ADVISOR


Estimated Income: RM2,500++


Scope of Work: Greet potential customers, coordinate test drives, assist with trade-in values and negotiate vehicle repair prices.
