The Higher Education Minister, Zambry Abdul Kadir, announced that technical and vocational education graduates will have a pathway to earn university degrees up to the doctorate level through the Malaysian technical university network. This initiative aims to remove the societal stigma against technical education and reduce Malaysia’s dependence on skilled foreign workers.

The ministry will focus on increasing the number of graduates in high-demand fields like electrical and electronics engineering to meet industry needs. Zambry made these remarks during a donation event for B40 students in Lumut.
