Modular Programme

MODULAR CERTIFICATION PROGRAMME

The Modular Certification Programme is a short-term program developed and divided into two (2) methods namely:

  1. One Competency Unit (CU) or a combination of several Skill Standard CUs National Employment (NOSS); or
  2. One Work Activity (WA) or a combination of several WAs coming from the same of different NOS.

The objectives of this program are:

  1. Enabling trainees to gain skills to enter the job market in a short time;
  2. Help strengthen trainees’ skills to be able to become skilled workers quality;
  3. Enabling existing employees to improve their skills through modules relevant to the current job market; and
  4. Encourage the implementation of training flexibility either in full-time or part-time to obtain skills qualification.

The certification is expected to help employers and industries that need workers who are skilled in a shorter period in addition to increasing the number of national skilled workers needed for the country to become a high income country.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Trainees who have undergone training, assessment, and successfully passed each CU for the modular program concerned can be awarded a Statement of Achievement certificate. However, for the purpose of full certification, it must meet the certification requirements which have been set by JPK as stated in the Implementation Guide and Accreditation Requirements of Accredited Centers under the Skills Certification System Malaysia is based on the current National Employment Skills Standard take effect.

WELDING PROGRAMME:

  1. Proses Kimpalan SMAW Process 3G & 4G (MCU-1-11)
  2. Proses Kimpalan SMAW Process 5G & 6G (UP-HILL) (L01981-M-1-1)
  3. Proses Kimpalan Arka Berteras Logam (FCAW) – 3G/ 4G (M-1-11).
AUTOMOTIVE PROGRAMME

The details are as follows:

AUTOMOTIVE PROGRAMME:

  1. Servis Penyaman Udara Pengudaraan Dipanaskan – Kenderaan Ringan
  2. Diagnosis Servis Pengurusan Enjin Menggunakan Imbasan Diagnostik Automotif

WELDING SECTOR CAREER

WELDER


Estimated Income: RM2,000++


Scope of Work: Repair metal products by heating with welding tools.


LECTURER


Estimated Income: RM2,800++


Scope of Work: Teaching and educating PT3/SPM graduates.


WELDING INSPECTOR


Estimated Income: RM6,500++


Scope of Work: Responsible for inspecting and evaluating the quality of work and the strength of welding work.


UNDERWATER WELDERS


Estimated Income: RM10,000++


Scope of Work: Repairing and welding under the sea.


AUTOMOTIVE SECTOR CAREER

TECHNICIAN


Estimated Income: RM2,000++


Scope of Work: Repairing vehicles.


LECTURER


Estimated Income: RM3,000++


Scope of Work: Teaching and educating PT3/SPM graduates.


WARRANTY AND INSURANCE ADJUSTER


Estimated Income: RM3,000++


Scope of Work: Evaluate and settle insurance claims for insurance companies.


SERVICE ADVISOR


Estimated Income: RM2,500++


Scope of Work: Greet potential customers, coordinate test drives, assist with trade-in values and negotiate vehicle repair prices.
