Public-private partnership (PPP) is crucial for empowering Technical Vocational and Education Training (TVET) in Malaysia, according to Yayasan Mahir Malaysia president Datuk P. Sri Ganes. This collaboration between public and private sectors can enhance existing institutions and provide opportunities for students to pursue high-demand courses like electric vehicles (EVs) and drones.

It also ensures that trained students are well-prepared for the workforce, addresses issues of inadequate training, and optimizes resource utilization. An example of this partnership is the Perai Industrial Training Institute (ILP) in Penang, which received autotronic equipment and training funding from the Autotronics Centre of Excellence.

This collaboration has benefited approximately 500 students and offers short-term and long-term courses depending on their employment status.
